L-għaqda volontarja L-Għanja tal-Poplu qed tfittex persuna entużjasta, pożittiva, artistika u ta’ esperjenza fil-produzzjoni ta’ festivals tal-kanzunetti jew ta’ esperjenza simili, biex taħdem mal-istess għaqda . Dan huwa xogħol part-time mifrux matul is-sena kollha, fejn in-numru ta’ siegħat ta’ ħidma ivarjaw skont l-attivita’, u bil-ħlas isir skont x-xogħol li jkun sar. Ix-xogħol tal-Production Manager jibda’ f’Diċembru 2016 u jintemm f’Novembru 2017, bil-possibilità li l-kuntratt jiġġedded kull sena sa Novembru 2019. It-tiġdid tal-kuntratt jiddependi mill-finanzjament mogħti permezz tal-Cultural Partnership Agreement mal-Kunsill Malti għall-Arti.

Il-Production Manager ser jaħdem flimkien mal-kumitat eżekuttiv ta’ L-Għanja tal-Poplu fil-ħidma tiegħu ma’ kollaboraturi oħra biex jittella l-festival, u jissorvelja l-aspetti kollha relatati mal-poduzzjoni li jkunu ddelegati mill-kumitat L-Għanja tal-Poplu. Speċifikament, il-Production Manager jissorverlja u jamministra l-ħidma kollħa relatata mal-attivitajiet Għanja tal-Poplu, bħar-rehearsals, l-eleminatorji, il-parteċipanti, il-gruppi mużikali u l-orkestra, u l-loġistika assoċjata mal-produzzjoni tal-festival, eċċetra. L-oġġettivi tal-festival (ara Appendix) jinkludu attivitajiet mifruxa matul is-sena kollha. Il-Production Manager fil-ħidma tiegħu jirrapporta u jingħata d-direzzjoni mill-eżekuttiv tal-għaqda voluntarja L-Għanja tal-Poplu.

Il-persuna magħżula jrid ikollha esperjenza fil-qasam organizzattiv ta’ festivals, abilita’ li taħdem flimkien ma’ artisti mużikali, u l-aġenti tagħhom, u ma’ l-istaff involut. Idealment il-persuna magħżula ikollha tlett snin esperjenza ta’ ħidma fil-qasam artistisku ma’ organizzazzjoni/jiet professjonali jew esperjenza simili, u li jkollha ħiliet organizzattivi u artistiċi,  taf tmur mal-klienti u kollaboraturi tal-festival, tajba biex tissorvelja, u għandha ħiliet tajba ta’ kommunikazzjoni.  Kwalifikazzjonijiet relatati mal-management u mal-arti mużikali huma apprezzati. Il-persuna magħżula trid tkun lesta li timmaniġġja’ iktar minn attivita’ waħda fl-istess ħin, u disposta taħdem kemm mal-kumitat eżekuttiv, kif wkoll ma’ persuni oħra involuti fl-organizzazzjoni tal-festival.
 

Responsabilta’ ġenerali:

  • Il-produzzjoni ta’ kull aspett tal-festival/s u attivitajiet relatati.
  • Ħidma biex jitwettaq il-pjan strateġiku tal-festival. (ara appendix)

 

Responsabiltajiet speċifiċi :

  • Il-produzzjoni ta’ dak kollu li għandu x’jaqsam mal-festivals organizzati mill-Għanja tal-Poplu, u attivitajiet relatati. (eżempju: il-festivals, eliminatorji, attivitajiet edukattivi, taħdidiet u laqgħat);
  • Tara li l-parteċipanti kollha ikunu ppreparati sew u jesegwixxu ix-xogħol tagħhom bl-aħjar mod;
  • Tidderiġi u tissorvelja l-parteċipanti u taħdem fil-qrib mal-partiċipanti;
  • Tieħu ħsieb u tissorvelja l-istage management u taħdem fil-qrib mal-istage-manager u t-tim tiegħu;
  • Timmaniġġja u tissorvelja attivitijiet tal-Għanja tal-Poplu u ir-rehearsals;
  • Tfassal pjan ta’ ħidma flimkien mal-kumitat eżekuttiv, u twettaq dak miftiehem;
  • Tara li jkun hemm l-apparat meħtieġ għall-festival u attivitajiet relatati u tissorvelja l-użu tiegħu;
  • Tgħin fl-ippjanar tal-buġit relatat mal-ħidma u produzzjoni tal-festival;
  • Taħdem biex il-festival ikun finanzjarjament sostenibbli;
  • Tattendi għall-laqgħat relatati mal-festival, meta mitlub mill-kumitat eżekuttiv.

VISION of the organisation

L-Għanja tal-Poplu is a festival of original songs in Maltese, aimed at promoting the writing and composition of songs with local identity.

MISSION STATEMENT of the organisation

Local musical artists are encouraged to write songs of good standard, where they freely express the aspirations, experiences, environment and culture, traditions and desires of the Maltese people, and also on social international aspects that we as a nation share with other nations.

 

AIMS of the organisation

A1.  To organise the Festival L-Għanja tal-Poplu on a national level on a yearly basis;

A2.  To encourage authors and composers to write and compose songs in Maltese;

A3.  To  promote innovation and originality in the writing of songs in Maltese;

A4.  To create other occasions where authors and composers can perform their songs in  public;

A5. To publish and promote the songs that are presented in the festival, and other songs of good quality in Maltese;

A6. To award artists that have continuously contributed positively towards the contemporary song in Maltese;

A7  To raise public appreciation of songs in Maltese;

A8. To form part of any international organisation/s whose aims are similar to that of the organisation, with the aim of cultural exchange;

A9. To raise funds by means of activities for all the purposes and objectives of the organisation in such amounts and in such manner as may be authorised by the executive committee.

 

OBJECTIVES of the organisation

01.      Organising the festival L-Għanja tal-Poplu – Festival tal-Kanzunetta Maltija, a festival of original songs in Maltese performed and accompanied live, on a yearly basis.(A1)

02.      Creating  other occasions, other than the festival final event,  where songs in Maltese are performed in public. (A4)

03.      Organising  L-Għanja tal-Poplu – Żgħażagħ in collaboration with educational institutions, aimed to encourage young people between 11 and 16 years of age to interpret and participate in the writing and compostion of songs in Maltese. (A2, A3)

04.      Organising a formal course for authors and composers, aimed at improving the writing and composition of songs in Maltese and publish accademic related articles. (A2, A3)

05.      Promoting and conserving the songs participating in the festival, by publishing a CD compilation, transmitting the festival on Radio and TV,  and publishing music videos on the internet. (A5, A7)

06.      Rewarding and giving recognition to artist/s who contributed on a long term in favour of songs in Maltese. (A6)

07.      Building contacts with international organisation/s with the purpose of cultural exchange. (A8)
